I was born in Cairo, Egypt and grew up between the West Bank and Gaza Strip of the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Egypt, and the USA.
In 2014 I moved from Harrisonburg, VA to Lancaster, PA where I now work as the Women’s Health Clinical Services Coordinator at a Federally Qualified Health Center. I am also a certified birth doula and attend labors of patients from our clinic (we mainly serve the local immigrant and refugee population) as they deliver at Women’s and Babies hospital.
I love binge watching the show Parks and Recreation, baking pies, visiting friends in Virginia, and perusing thrift stores.
To de-stress I usually go on a personal retreat, watch Kirsten Wiig SNL sketches, or sing along to Toto’s “Africa” at the top of my lungs…depending on how much time I have.
